A consultation is the first step to owning a custom-designed home. Our in-house design team begins by discussing your needs and wants for your new home, as well as the budget you have planned for this new space. Once we’ve heard the various requirements and wishes you have, such as an entertainment space for family and friends, a guest bedroom and bathroom for overnight guests, or a home office for your work-from-home career, we can offer our suggestions and recommendations on how to make those wishes into reality.
After the initial consultation, we take up to two weeks to design your home and create a written proposal for the new design. This proposal details everything that was discussed at the first meeting, including special design requirements, the average cost for building materials and appliances, and a detailed budget for the entire project, from start to finish.
Once you’ve decided to hire DJL Builders Inc. for your new home build, both parties will sign a Project Development Agreement. This agreement includes details such as the selection of products, the final design, all necessary measurements, and any other details necessary for the contract.
Now that all details have been thoroughly reviewed and the final agreement has been signed, our trained and highly-skilled construction crew gets to work. We make your dream home a reality by prepping the property for the new build, beginning construction on your home, and conducting a final walk-through when construction is complete.
